DESCRIPTION:A collaboration with Dance Temple Squamish & William Wallace at Trickster’s Hideout. \nWhat is Ecstatic Dance? \nEcstatic dance is free form dance & movement to achieve a meditative state. This natural state of being\, pure existence – allowing your body to exist without judgment or rules of shape and space – shifts your awareness of self and can create a euphoric\, calming feeling which can allow your mind to enter an ecstatic state of happiness. \nAllow your body to feel the music flow through it and feel the beat of the drums echo from within. The deep rich tones of the drums will take you deep within and help you discover yourself as your heart beat connects to the rhythms.  \nThe first 20 minutes William Wallace will host a short drum tutorial to learn a rhythm\, if you feel inspired to drum throughout the dance. There will be some drums available for use.\nBring your own drum if you have one and would like to drum and/or learn! \nDance Temple Squamish has been hosting their ecstatic dances every month and always provides a safe\, inclusive and welcoming environment of  love and acceptance.
