The Verdant Pulse – ART SHOW – Sarah Afskoven

Join us for an evening of artwork, cocktails and canapes as we host the opening of ‘The Verdant Pulse’, a new collection of paintings by Squamish artist Sarah Afskoven. Born in Vancouver, she has traveled and lived all across Canada, taking in elements of each location across the into her artworks. An avid outdoorperson, she has spent her years hiking, mountaineering, and racing in ultramarathons when not exploring her creative endeavours.
Now, based in Squamish, she has melded both of her artistic passions in this new collection: soft, realistic expression of the human figure, and the vivid, textured depths of the local landscape. These paintings will take you on a journey around the Sea to Sky as you explore our poignant connection with the land around us through each of the figures depicted.
All paintings will be available for purchase on site from the artist.
